What program are you using? What file format are you saving too as well? Could it be a problem with your actual HD instead of the program?

YOU DON'T work with just one file, of a very important project.

The Max likes to save out a file corrupted once per every 1000 saves. Still they usually can be rescued by the 'Merge' feature.

Anyway, by every important change, you should start a new file - by 'save as...' - and the latest should have two copies of it.
