Does anyone know how to change the range of the audio that an entity uses? I have torches with fire and no matter how far away I am the volume is the same, can it fade out after you walk a few steps away?

You could possible make a script that checks if the player is within a certain distance to the torch and then change the volume according to the distance.

hmm.. ok maybe this is a scripting problem, I wasn't sure so I put it in here and I know nothing about scripting.

You need to use 3D sound. Check out the scripts available.

Ensure that your sound is MONO, not STEREO. STEREO sounds cannot be used as 3D sounds.
