Simple; your lightmapquality is too low...

In setup.ini change:

Lightmapquality to 40
Lightmapsize to 1024

Play with setings: nothing will change in the fps , only the building time will increase

When is edit it and i start fpsc it changes back, when i edit it when fpsc creator is on it doesnt work.

there are some known bugs, when using FPSC (NOT X10), on Vista, maybe this is one of them...

but do your segment has a shader aplied: then make sure your shader effecks are set to full

MAKE SURE that FPSC is closed when you're making the changes, as well as change the settings in both spots (setup.ini and buildsetup.ini).

Also, Dar13 is correct - larger texture sizes decrease performance, while a better quality only increases loading times. For example, textures at 512 and quality of 50 will use the same loading time and look the same as textures at 256 and quality of 100...but the lower texture size will increase performance.

FPSC has a nasty habit of keeping the editor process running(at least on my comp) so it'd be good habit to make sure that all the processes are shut down.

You may also want to try changing the "lightmapblur" to 2 or 3 for even smoother looking shadows.

Just changing the settings then running a test game won't change anything as FPSC is not recalculating the lightmapping as nothing has been physically changed from the last time you previewed it. You need to make at least one change in the map, even if it's nudging an entity 1 pixel, in order for FPSC to noticed something's changed and recalculate the lightmapping.

make sure setup.ini is changed ALONG with buildsetup.ini.

I don't know if that's already been said...

Make sure that UAC is turned off, it won't let you save any changes to files in program files.

Rakker126, you have good hardware. Why don't you just run FPSCX10? It is way better.

Because i think the loading times are to high. To load a fairly samll level you need to wait more then 1 minute. There arent much people who want to do that and the quality is more important then how it looks like.

Now, it isnt.

A fpsc level never loads longer then 1 minut
A X10 level always loads +2 minutes + faster lag
