hey,,,

does anyone know how to create a .ico file from a .jpg. for example some trustworthy software to convert a 312x 312 image into a suitable .ico file.

I need it for the icon in a visual c# form.

Thanks,,,

If you have Photoshop, I recommend this plugin (it's what I use):

this should work, make your image same pixles size width height, the put it in ms paint, make it 24 bit, then save with ico on the end.

or just put the image bmp in the icon part of the old ide.

Then you'll be making a bitmap with .ico in the name. They aren't exactly the same.
