Ok, I just finished making my fist 3D model .

Here is a pic of my finished object.

Now, how do I get it to work in FPSC??

Enjoy, and thanks for the help.

I'm not sure what modeler you're using, I use milkshape. At any rate the 2 files in the documentation folder of fpsc have alot of helpful info that will have alot of step by step info that will have you up and running in no time.

Here's a link that helped me.

There's a tutorial thread at the top of this forum that will get ya started also.

I really like your model, and look forward to seeing more from you in the future.

Good luck,

Kuro.

Thanks, I am using start art of illustration. That seemed to be the better one for beginners. (I think)

I am open to using another type of 3D maker if you guys find another free one being better. (i just dont have the money to dish out right now.)

Not to critisize but to dish out a little constructive critisism. The model looks pretty good but you will need to really drop those polies in order to effectivly use it with the FPSC game engine. She just cant handle things like that. Try to reduce the poly count and make up for the poly loss with the texture. keep it up.

....polys???what polys......???

Like I said I am very new to this. All I know is that the poly count has something to do with....(they're kinda like pixles) If you have to many it makes a game lag..if you have to little it make your work look like crap......How do I check my polies?? I am using art of illustration. I have a demo of acd3 I just downloaded today (trying to figure out all the buttons and how it works)

Thanks for the help....oh and btw I love constructive critisizem it always make your product better. So, if you have any more dont hold back.

When I first got into this I used anim8or as my main modeling program. It is very user freindly and quite powerful for a freebie. They have many tutorials that will help you along the way. you have to start somewhere and the best place is the botttom. good luck.

i also like anim8or pretty good myself...the only down side is that it must be used in conjunction with several other programs to produce a full FPSC ready model..anim8or is great it just wont do it all.

For some reason, some of the buttons dont seem to work for me in anim8or...I dont know why. Maybe I am not doing something right. I do know, that I dowloaded it a second time thinking something went wrong in the download...didnt help.

Thanks for the compliments and the help guys.
