We have a non profit children’s organization that has a website designed by one of our volunteers, we want to ad some fun stuff for kids who visit the site, and we were thinking of making a game of some sort.

We are looking for a creator who is ready to volunteer to help children in New York and Pennsylvania, and do this pro bono for the cause.

One game idea of a game we had was, to have one called capture the counselor, the name comes from a historical phrase used for a traditional game at children’s summer camps where they literally run all over the fields and try to catch their counselor.

maybe get pictures of may of our volunteer staff that the kids know, and make a game where their faces pop up and disappear all over the screen, and the kids have to tag them with the mouse of their computer and they get points, naturally if its the head counselor, they would get more points or something to that effect, and the background could be our wooded campsite in Pennsylvania which the kids all recognize. And maybe once a week, the kid who gets the most points would get a prize.

In the environment we live in with all that’s out there, kids are vulnerable and the way to keep them safe specially youth at risk, is to keep them occupied doing safe healthy activities in their free time, rather than hang around the street corners.

Any help you extend us would be greatly appreciated, would go a long way, would get you blessings from god and would also give your company some exposure if you wanted it, in our community.

Sincerely
Shloime Rutman

Usually team requests are not allowed here, for the sake of not having people going "OMG, I AM MAKING T3H 1337ZOR GAMEZ. WANNA HELPZ?"

Just FYI. Not sure what the mods will do...if they ever even see this.

Anyways, i can't help, sorry. But good luck! I'd recommend posting this on a site more for something like Flash or PHP, because Dark Basic is not really for making web aplications.

That's what they WANT you to think...

@Quirky
Idk if this is technically a team request, more of a Please Help Us post (which we see tons of anyway).

I would agree though, DBC isn't much for web applications, should be more of flash. I might work on something, but I am a bit tied up with DarkNOOBS right now. Perhaps when we finish our current project I can help if it is still needed.

"[helping us] would get you blessings from god"
You just broke the AUP.
And you kind of make blessings sound like some sort of coupon.

sorry can't help with the game, I hear Grand Theft Auto is good though so why not try that.

I googled UJCF and it stands for Unspeakable Joy Christian Fellowship. Unless I am mistaken that is not a childrens' organisation. Maybe you are a different UJCF but in any case you might get a better response if you tell people who you are instead of this cloak and daggers approach.

I think it is UJC, since the F is part of Funds. That would (if google serves me well) be United Jewish Communities.

Thanks guys ujcf stands for United Jewish Childrens Fund.

Sorry about that.

The site we need the games for is chayol.com, right now its a php site but its being switched over to a joomla site because the volunteer staff in our office don't know dreemweaver, but we need the games to work right off the website without the kids having to download them, also most of the kids will be using windows pc's.

Thanks.
