Something puzzles me beyond distraction, and I do have one question that I've just got to ask.

Why is the OutdoorFireplace.tga file only 2.54 MB, and the OutdoorFireplace.dds file is a whopping 10.33 MB, when installed?

Both files have the same color depth, and resolution of 2048 x 1322. The .dds format is designed to produce a greatly compacted footprint. This is what's so strange about this.

The only rational explanation that I can think of is that the .dds file is actually a .bmp file that you manually renamed to the .dds format. I'm baffled, otherwise.

Can you please explain and clarify?

Hi Seth, its been a long time since we have spoken. Im glad that you like the fireplace. As far as the .dds format I really have no idea, It seems sort of strange though. let me do a little digging and see if I can figure out why it did that. If anyone els can come up with the answer please let us know.
