1st of all I dont know if this should be here and I would like to apologise if it shouldnt.
my problem is:
I try all methods in the comunity manual to change the icon of a built game, I succed with all these..however when I try to run AFTER I change the icon the aplication apears to be runing then closes itself without even taking the screen.

I use res hack now and it does change the icon BUT leaves me with two exe files one with my chosen icon (which doesnt work)the other one with the normal fpsc icon (which does work)
can someone help me?

This cannot be done i did have an application made a long time ago but i have since lost it and it didnt work great either would occasionally give FPSC errors.

A few more things:

1. Why put this in Models and Media? its neither.

2. Don't keep posting and posting it is highly annoying and users will just ignore you

3. Just leave the icon alone its more trouble than its worth trust me i've tried.

You can change the icon and icon text successfully and fix the game to run afterward. There is a tutorial on my website and in the community guide. Just follow the instructions. If your game will not work after you fix the exe, you may have done something else wrong.

If you check the Hypnagogia demo in Showcase you will see an example.

I wrote the tutorial in the community guide (I think?) Yep... it was me. LOL I have used this method a few times and it always worked for me.

The three methods in the guide are actually one method. All of the instructions/programs are required to complete the change. The first program changes the icon image, the second changes the icon text, and the third repairs the exe after you change the icon. If you don't repair the exe after you change the icon, it will do as you described earlier... nothing.

What version of FPSC are you using?
