So how do you check for collision (camera to object, and object to object) to the edge of a skysphere since it's a "solid object" as DBP help files put it.

Is there something I'm missing?

I can only really reccommend against using the core DBPro collision commands. The so called "Sparky's Collision Plugin" (search for it) works wonders, especially in comparision.
Otherwise, you could use the intersect object command against the skysphere; if the distance between your current position and the point of intersection is below, say, 5.0 units, you can register that as a collision.

Yeah search your Dark Basic documentation or help files for intersect object commands, or get sparky's collision as it's much faster. It would be nice to know also whether you're trying to check for collision between just your player and skysphere, or anything with your skysphere.

Hope that helps!

LOL Rudolpho on the Euphonium Entertainment, I actually played that instrument in High School Band.

@Rudolpho and Xeridox, is there any sample code for Sparky's plugin?

and thanks to all for the help

EDIT: Comes with example code

Just looked at sliding demo, and that solved my problems.
all it took was sc_setupcomplexobject and that worked yay!!!
