iam in need of a FREE modelling Program wich has these functions (ALL of them): Inset, Extrude, Bevel and maybe Subdivide..

edit: do not say Blender or Gmax.

Edit2: and its gonna need the cut tool, i mean, cutting 1 face into 2 faces =P

You could try TrueSpace. I have it installed on my computer, and while I haven't really made anything with it yet, I can actually navigate through it fairly easily - unlike Blender.

thanks ABXG. Yes, my biggest problem with Blender is the navigation=P

truespace looks promising, does it have: Inset Extrude and Bevel? =P

And a google search would give you those programs.

I like Anim8or. It's got all the basic tools (including the ones you mentioned) and a very simple interface and it's free! But the only downside is that the only common export file is .3ds. But i'm happy with it.

Exactly. How you failed so hard as to not make that connection, I have no idea. Seriously, I don't understand some people. When I first have a question, I research it. Did you even think for a second about if that question has already been asked before? Did it occur to you that it has? I mean come on, it's even in a sticky at the top of this board title "Great 3D Resources." It's in the first fricking section:
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=124872&b=3&p=0#m1719557

I don't mean to be a troll. But really... ask an educated question. And even then, this question has been asked so many times, along with the question of "which one is better", that you don't even need to ask.

And why not Blender? Blender is THE top free modeling package. It has everything you need. A great program, a great community, GREAT documentation and tutorials and almost everyone is familiar with it when you go to ask a question (if you do, remember what we just talked about). This was made in Blender: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YE7VzlLtp-4.

I strongly second Sid, choose Blender, as I've said before, Blender is only confusing for people who don't want to learn it. When I used Blender I learned how to do most things in about a day. Blender is amazing.

If you mean background images you need to make sure the resolution in TS is set correctly,I think its set to something silly like 64 x 64 dont ask me why
If you need anymore help ask away.

Yes, blender is an incredible tool. I didn't like it for about a week, but then it started to grow on me and is now as natural to me as if it was my right arm.

You really didn't need to bump a thread that was dead just to tell him to search for it, which other people already did.

even if you have something to add its useless to bump a thread months after the last post. by then i would hope he found what he was looking for.
