This is me, with a demo of my band's first demo.

It was recorded with a voice recorder, so the quality... leaves something to be desired.

The lyrics are gonna help here.

Please rate on a scale of one to ten, ten best. Remember, just a demo, on a VOICE recorder.

Uhh... -5? If you're going to record a demo then at least spend more than 10p on a decent mic, I could barely hear anything coherent from that recording and it was impossible to gauge where in the lyrics the vocals were currently at. The vocals sounded like someone being choked with some random drums in the background and some other nondescript sounds.

@iron programmer - In the future, please post the music critique threads in the Music forum. I'll leave this one open in the meantime, and will move it there if you wish. Thanks

Yeah, you definitely need a better mic.

I don't really like the lyrics to much myself. Well the lyrics aren't bad it just doesn't sound like your singing them in the right order for some reason. Im not really sure how to explain it.

@Robert: You might have your headphones on upside down. Try flipping them.

Wow. Dora's Musical Adventure Playset with Microphone is unsuitable for recording music. So is everything else in that recording. Somebody needs to take singing lessons. Ouch. My ass can sing better than that. I have complete faith that you're the next big thing so I tell you this for your own good.

I'm not sure you really ment that. If you did, thanks. Thanks to everyone who commented.

Also, Jeku, could you move this the music board then.

What the hell?
There's hardly any traffic here at all usually, but here comes something we can all talk badly about, so then we'll bump in?
(Admittingly I'm a bit annoyed at this due to all my zero-reply posts in this section)

Insert-edit: Ok, so this was originally posted somewhere else. But I'll leave that there for all you lurkers to consider still so.

Anyhow, I have to agree - can't make much out of that, get some better recording equipment and try again. Sorry.
