Not bad! I can't post a critique right now, but if I remember, I'll post one later. It sort of reminds me of the mayor from nightmare before christmas. Don't ask me why lol.

Check out this tutorial. It costs $8, but it's well worth it. Their are plenty of free ones too. I know of one, but I have to find the link again. I'll post that later too.

Have a look at this, Belive me am not being patronising far from it lol

After alot of rummaging through external hdd I found some of my old reference pictures for face flow, Enjoy

As you can the the flow of the face is well, flowful lol

This is going in to the advanced styles so dont worry yourself yet, just get yourself used to the flow, try out lining the first? i think.

and here is two tut's i still use when am stuck,

http://www.poopinmymouth.com/process/character_tutorial/character_process.htm

http://www.secondpicture.com/tutorials/3d/3d_modeling_of_a_human_head_3ds_max_01.html

thier very detailed and will break down each step, although the first will jump slighlty but dont worry about that, just get the shape right. And excuse the bad names, I googled for them so hororrs are bound to surface

I didn't really like Anim8tor after using it much. I'm glad I could get a student discount on 3DSM for my Animation classes. However, regardless of what program you are using, if you don't bump up your skills, it won't matter much! Just letting you know These programs are just an extension of design. Don't get frustrated because your not able to make awesome stuff yet. Talent takes time to cultivate, and most importantly practice. Keep at it!

Good find on the pics lazerus. I have saved them for good use.

<OT> do you get student discounts even if you're not taking any classes on the subject of modeling? o.O </OT>

Nice human model by the way, especially since it's your first; I started out with cylinder-and-sphere people

Remember those old guys? They made epic renders, I think one of them was called DaVinci, and all they used was MS Paint. Sometimes it's just skill....

I am quite fond of Anim8or, seeing as I "grew up" with it, it's a very useful tool and can be used for very interesting things, obviously it doesn't have as many features as something like Blender but it's a good starter program.
