is it possible to, say have a guy follow a waypoint for his main, and his shoot is something else. like pace (waypoint) and coward (shoot) ? and after his shoot script go back to walking his waypoint. also, what triggers an enemy shoot script?

If I'm not mistaken, there are two ways trigger a characters shoot script.

1 - using the command shootplr (automatically runs the shoot script assigned in the editor to the character)
2 - using the command runfpi=[name_of_script] (runs any AI script by name)

Including either one in your characters main in the correct location will trigger his shoot script, or any other script you choose, or both. Any combination and number of scripts are possible.

Best.

You can use runfpi= anytime you can trigger it. If you want him to start shooting when he gets shot, then you would use shotdamage=1as the trigger.

:shotdamage=1:runfpi=returnfire.fpi
where returnfire.fpi has him shooting other AI or
:shotdamage=1:shootplr
where shootplr.fpi has him shooting the player.

I hope that's what you were asking.

Best.
