I tried taking a screenie while using it but something happened when I saved it. Hold on I'll try again.

Well, not trying to harsh, but there's no saving that model. For a first, I've seen far worse. It's very simple and far too subdivided. What I would suggest is look around at some basic tutorials and get a feel for proper polygon usage and flow. I've been somewhat "out" of the 3D game for a while, bouncing back and forth from a working computer, non-working computer, and busy with school and getting ready to move out, so my tutorial list is rather...short...here's some things I remember/found quickly:

I made this ages ago..it's the basics of the basics...makes you a simple sword that's out of proportion assuming you follow it exactly(easily fixed by some scaling). Apologies for the lack of images...it is over 3 years old, so sometime in there they were deleted from wherever it was I hosted them: Sword Tutorial

and since you use Wings 3D, there's a second part to the tutorial which introduces you to UV Mapping in Wings 3D. Sword Tutorial Add On-UV Mapping

Those should be fairly easy to follow, and don't delve into anything overly complex. As for tutorials that aren't completely basic and slightly junk, you should poke around this post:
Great 3D Resource

Somewhere in that post is a list of some decent tutorials.

Thanks for your post. I just looked at it and saw that if you smooth it one more time that it looks A LOT better. But for me its a nice start. Thanks for the tutorials.
