Hi, this is my first model thread here on this board. And I am to show off a hand model I created earlier this day. This is my first attempt at creating a hand model. The texture is a little messy, but I'm not the best texture artist. Screenshot attached to post.

What do you guys think?

Best wishes// Nackidno

I like it! The texture rather charms me, with that sort of cartoonish look. You also seem to have a good edge flow going on there (Not sure since I can't see the palm of the hand, but from what I can see it looks pretty good) but the tops of the fingers are all too flat, which I'm sure you're aware of. I'd say repositioning the edges on the fingers a bit so that there are three on the top which will give you a bit of a smoother look.
Also try to smooth all the normals of the hand, as that might also help the flatness of those fingers quite a bit.
EDIT: Could you provide some shots with the hand non-curled as I just noticed the hand looks a bit thin/flat in general, but the position of it really makes it hard to tell.

Thanks. I am aware that the fingertips are a bit flat but in the angle that the hand will be used, it's not that visible. I'm not sure how to smooth normals in Blender. I'll check it in a bit.

Unfortunately I saved the hand as clutched. But I managed to draw the fingers up so that you can see the palm of the hand.

I actually meant these parts:

Although now when I rethink this would probably indeed be solved by smoothing the normals, in Blender this would be by going into edit mode, selecting all the faces and hitting W and then choosing Set Smooth. Try it and tell me how it went.
EDIT: Also, normally all the fingers aren't all the same size.

Ah, my bad.

I used smooth and fixed the edges a little to make them look more rounded. It turned out pretty good I think.

Pretty nice, especially for a first try at this type of thing. Looks pretty low poly too. Good work.

Thanks Omega! It was actually my goal to make it low poly.
