Looking good, it seems like you could get away with adding a little more detail to the stock, as well it looks a bit overly curved for the weapon. I also think your sights might be a bit large, but certainly a fantastic start and I look forward to seeing it with some texture.

I can't help but feel the sight is a little too high though, could do with lowering.

One suggestion might be to just lower the white level on the Ambient Occlusion for the next time you render, makes it a bit easier on the eyes.

Yeah, i presume you are using a skylight with indirect illumination, right? You may just have to move the skylight further away, turn down the multiplier, or if you have any extra lights, delete them. Looks great btw
