e.g. from an angle of 15.7 degrees I want to go forward..I know the position of the force to be applied but not the amount of forces for the x,y and z.Any help would be useful..tried googling but not had any success.

Are you using 'local force' to move your object? That would move it along it's local z axis.

yes I am, but if you turn your object and apply force to the z only, the object will turn and move only in the z direction not forward in the direction its facing. I think I've got an idea of using a ratio from 0 - 90 degrees to apply a proportion of force i.e at 45 degrees the force is shared equally between x and z forces at 0 all z and at 90 all x...y isn't needed in this instance. By the way I have noticed that the get object angle command does not work correctly in dark physics hopefully I can work round this..
