I remember seeing it in a game at the showcase, can't remember the name exactly but the menu was an animation of a man on a swinging chair

Button animations are easy to do, I'm adding it into my Animated Hud Maker, it'll be finished soon.

I'm trying to figure out what you're wanting exactly..

Are you wanting the button to constantly animate?
Are you wanting the button to animate when the mouse "hovers" over the button? (This is what I initially thought you wanted)

Well, since you can't detect where the cursor is on screen, the best I can come up with is either having the button animate all the time, or animate "when clicked".

Well, it could be an external application and not a part of FPSC... it's packaged so I can't say for certain exactly how rolfy did it.

The buttons aren't animated, but there is a video playing behind it. He just got the video frames and made them into single images then looped them.

Make two HUDS, same size and same position on screen. Hide the one that will be for "button clicked". When the script runs the "button clicked" code, make sure it hides the button and shows the "button click" HUD instead.

To make sure the player sees this.. you may even want to script in a slight pause before the button code is executed.

You would use a timer to force the script to wait for a certain amount of time.

Example:

That would make it wait half of a second once the button was selected. (I dont think "buttonselected" is the real command though lol)
