Hello all long time no see,

Its been a very long time since I've attempted making things for games but here we go again

What size should gun textures in a FPS be? Or the size for a building texture(one you can walk in?) Sorry for such a simple question but I'm used to working with 1024 by 1024 and up

O ya I see bigADD is now a moderator. congrats mate. Haven't seen you in ages. I doubt you remember me

For guns they should either be 1024 or 2048, depending on how much detail you want. For enterable buildings, I would use one 2048 texture for the exterior, and then break the interior up into different 1024 or 512 textures.

In normal game engines, Little Bill is right. In DGDK I would stick with 512 for third person weapons and 1024 for first person weapons, for buildings I would say 1024 for exterior, 1024 for interior, then 512 for the furnishings inside.
