A 3d model? This question would probably be better asked on the 3d boards. Either repost there and a mod will lock this or they may just move this thread if they see it. Don't forget general netiquette if you post again in the 3d boards.

Just putting in my 2 cents. As, I am going to start learning 3d character modeling this fall at college, maybe you should download and experiment with some free .x modelors. Than give it a shot at making a cat, then politely ask if someone with experience could help texture him for you.
