I have this great idea for multiplayer, but I need to get ammmo pooling to work, which I just can't seem to get it right!

I have perviously read this thread: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=149067&b=23

It helped me understand, but I still do not understand where to put the variables at...

And I am using Ply's Mod v1.08

Thax for any help!

Read teh "GunSpec Options" section of the ReadMe document. In that section you'll find a "BindAmmoToVar" option.

You basically set that option to the name of the variable you want to have control ammo.

Then you just alter that variable through scripting to alter the ammo in that ammo pool.

that pretty much was step-by-step

It's very simple...

Add to gunspec

bindammotovar=X

X equals the ammo pool type (shotgun, rifle, 9mm, mana, etc.- whatever you want to call it).

Just keep in mind that you can't assign multiple mags to the player start marker for weapons using this.

Do you have to change the hasweapon= of the .fpi of the entity I want to call "ammo"?

(Sorry for the double post, it seems I have been n00b slapped... )

Also, what does the "2000" after this: addvar=Ammo45mm 2000 mean?
