Dark GDK / clicking and arrow key movement pause script?

I've noticed that when you use dbControlCameraUsingArrowKeys or dbMouseClick (mouseclick being used in an if statement) that the execution of the script seems to stop there. Is this avoidable?

I'd guess it's because of the you've coded it. Can you post some example code so that you can reproduce it and we can see what you're doing?
