Looks like a sewer...

The shape is literally a tube, the texture really brings it to life though, good job i think your employer will be happy

good luck, cb

Aaaaahk!

I hate overkill specular maps with as much passion as I hate overkill bloom/HDR. Concrete is not shiny! It does not reflect light that brightly and directly! It diffuses!

Sorry, that was a touch critical of me. Diffuse maps are nice.

You can easily see the way the texture tiles though. Here's what you can do to fix that.

Okay, there are a few ways of doing this.

One (not the best, but it works): Copy a chunk of about 30 or so pixels from the left side of the texture, copy, paste, flip it, and line it up on the other side, but now you have a line there that you can easily see and you have to get rid of now! So use clone stamp or the healing brush to massage it in and you should have a better result.

Two (much better): If you own photoshop, go to filter -> other -> offset and offset 50% of whatever the dimensions of your texture is so the seam is running down the middle. Now that it's there, use the healing brush to blend the seam together. Use offset again to put everything in it's place and wallah, and really nice seamless texture. This is an awesome way to do it and is used in the industry quite often.

Not directly related to gaming, but just in 5 seconds of searching I found this as a point of reference: http://www.cadtutor.net/dd/photo/seamless/seamless.html

Regarding what Sid says, number two is available in GIMP as well by going to Layer->Transform->Offset and do the same. Not exactly on topic but I thought I'd point it out because as he said it's extremely useful when working on seamless textures.

Oh that's good! I was hoping Gimp would have something of the sort. Thanks for sharing AndrewT

Are these supposed to be brand new? If not I would add some sludge to the inside texture.

Bumps look odd, your using Max right?
Did you Set the Bump map to;
Normalbump > Bitmap "Image"?

If you get what I mean? Applying a Bitmap in the Normal/bump map thing will result in odd sharpness and blur.
