Well your computer is very good, but i don't think x10 can be used on windows 7 (don't hold me to that) so i would say x9.

I've heard it can, check in the x10 forums under the specs thread for more specifics about things. It also depends on what features you want, x9 has more flexibility as far as codes go, and then there's Airmod. Then again, x10 has the improved ai and graphics.

Get X10. The graphics are as good as Crysis and has water! FPSCX9 sucks because it has NO water!

Not true, various mods allow for water, like Project Blue.

Also, Windows 7 will be able to run both DirectX 10 AND DirectX 11.

I have the beta (now it's actually RC, need to update...), and all works well.

Temporarly away from the Phoenix Sentry.

I bought X10 and I can angrily say that it was a huge waste of ninety australian dollars. I have X9 and it's performance is questionable, but I got X10, and while it has ragdoll, DarkAI, bloom water and all that garbage, it's performance is disgusting, from what I've seen. To think that I've wasted ninety dollars, and if I hadn't I could be sitting on my ass playing The Lost and Damned for GTAIV instead of using this pitiful program just makes me want to retch.

Get X9 instead. You'll be thankful.

EDIT: And before you say 'Get a better computer', shut up, for I have what I could have called a monster of a machine earlier this year, and can run Crysis on Very High.

What can your computer take? Hmmm try hitting it with a sledgehammer, then maybe an axe, then throw it off the roof and if it still exists I would go for a big finale...... a bomb.

I have x10 and a low end x10 graphics card and x10 performs pretty good on my machine.I don't ramp up on the special effects. They are there to use not abuse.
As far as what your computer can take...I recommend you not try water or magnets...
I don't know about Windows 7.I'm still using the ancient Vista OS.

Please in future read the Websites before posting things like this.

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=138684&b=33

That link is to the X10 specs which also includes what OS can run FPSC X10 they have all been tested on at least 3 separate pcs.

So please do that

Yeah, I know. I try to keep bloom to a fair level, but my problems so far;

1; In one of the stock rooms, no characters, no bloom, but window refraction, I get 10fps.

2; I tried to load the 'instancing' map that came with it and got a crash when it was loading.

3; Some of the objects in MP3 must be dynamic to work, removing the brightness of the texture.
