You shouldn't, unless you can see bullets in real life.

There are many ways to do it, it just depends on what you are most comfortable with.

You could use sparky's collision dll and cast a ray

You could use math and make a vector

You could move an object a bunch without refreshing the screen, so it seems instant.

KK guys nevermind got it just an error in syntax but one more thing how should I make a recoil because whenever I attemp to the gun keeps going back and never stops also I need the muzzle flash but a continous automatic muzzle flash as that never stops even when I let go.

for the recoil i would say just animate the model(inside or outside dbc) for a simple gun recoil you could do it within dbc with just rotate limb and stuff. as for the Muzzle flash, how are you doing it? is a textured plain that your trying to move with the gun? if so then you could just include that into your animation model, although i'm not sure if theres a ghost limb command i think there is though.

Your post is like calling a mechanic and asking why your car won't start withoug explaining the symptoms or showing them the car!

In the future, please give a more detailed explanation of your problem. If you can provide code and media it is a BIG help to the people trying to help you! Remember, you are posting on this forum to get help. Give people as much information as possible so they can actually help you solve your problem.

Thanks!
Ron
