I have recently started modeling with Blender, and whenever I export a .x model to use in FPSC, the texture is one color, no matter what. I've tried it with Entity Workshop, and its the same. Does anyone have a solution to this, other then trying a different modeling program?

I could help, but I need to know the following:

1. How many textures are applied to the model
2. Is the model high Poly

I heard that blender has a buggy .x exporter

Yes, it has a buggy .x exporter. It won't export textures and UV maps for high poly models easily.

I can vouch for that, because I had remade my combat knife for the scifi pack from the start three times already due to the buggy exporter.

Blender's .x file is problematic. I use Blender for all of my modeling inside and outside of FPS Creator. What I ended up doing to get my models into FPSC from Blender was buy Milkshape to transfer the OBJ file from Blender into Milkshape, and export them from there as a .x file. It works fine this way, and retains the texture.

I don't use Milkshape for anything else other than exporting. It's very limited and time consuming compared to what can be done with Blender. But it works fine for getting Blender-made models into FPS Creator.

Thanks for the responses guys.

@Gamer X:
1. One texture, that's all
2. It's under 1000 I'm pretty sure, probably under 500. (I'm not on my laptop, so I can't check right now)

@Kravenwolf: That may be what I have to end up doing

sorry I haven't posted a solution but now I think I know the problem I just have one request and that is for you to e-mail me the model in the .blend file and the texture you are using for it and I might solve the problem.

If it all works out I will e-mail you the FPSC ready entity.
