For an AP Computer Science final project, I decided to showcase a little of our favorite language, DBPro.
I figured, while regular 3D is cool and all (We usually use Java and I'm sick of JFrames), I wanted to implement a little physics. So I downloaded Walaber's Newton Wrapper.

What I want to make is a little physics playground, a world editor per se. Everything's working but now I've hit a dead end.
I want to use the mouse to place objects, where you are pointing on the ground, the selected object will appear. How can I do this? Bonus points if you include how to make a little ring reticule on the ground.

Thanks for the help.

the pick object command can do that. it returns the object you are pointing at and saves the position of collision. that way you can put little reticules on the ground *ding ding* jackpotttt!

Thank you for your help. That command is perfect.

It Get Pick Vector X/Y/Z() did not work to make a target but a little trig cleared that right up
