Ek het nie geweet dat hier nederlanders hier op die forum is nie?
Ek is afrikaans amper n' nederlander of pavement special.
Well as for MP3.

I sent Lee and rick a mail with regards to fixing MP3 walls as well as entities a while back.I even posted a thread with regards to fixing the problem your self so there should be no reason to be angry the search function should help a lot.

If I'm not mistaken that thread is still listed on the first page of this forum...

For those who didn't bother to read it here is the fixes again.

MP 3 wall segments fix:
The walls have to have their x,y,z coordinates reset in lithunwrap to 0,0,0 in other words it needs to be centered within lithunwrap

You can then directly export the mesh files back into the correct folders and replace the old mesh files.

However for this to reflect correctly the .fps files for the wall segments needs to updated again. So you need to download FPS segments creator load the room segment fps files from the segment creator and move the meshes back into the correct position.

Once you have done that can you save the room segment and replace the old FPS file

This method works on all segments that have problems for example platforms floors ect.

MP3 fix for door frames and window frames:
Again for this you require lithunwrap you need to import the mesh and again center the model you may require to rotate the mesh to reflect the correct axis which is upright.

You can then follow the step above to import and move the mesh back into the correct position.

MP3 entity texture fix
The texture files needs to be updated to the correct file format as well as the correct filename as well as fixing the missing texture paths to the textures.

In order to do so you need to download DDSconverter 2 it is free and shouldn't be very hard to find.

All texture files needs to be updated to the ddsand DTX 5 format
All texture files needs to be updated to the _D2 filename format
Not all FPE files reflect the correct texture path and needs to be updated via the FPE files to reflect the correct path.

There is currently no fix for problems with animated entities like doors for MP3.

This is very simple instructions to follow for getting MP3 to work correctly. If you have any problem understanding what it is to center a mesh or to edit a FPE with the correct texture file path...

You shouldn't be messing around with MP 3 in the first place or for that matter use X10.

It isn't rocket science you know..!!!!

yip, Afrikaans is naby aan Ducth en nedederlands meer n' mix van die twee.I understand both when spoken slowly and can read basic words as well so you shouldn't have a problem when Afrikaans is spoken it's just harder to understand when trying to read it...

No just irritated how many people still have problems even when posts have been made to fix the problems and Lee still haven't applied or replied to the fixes for MP3....and because they are so easy to fix and then people will still complain.

Not directed at you but yeah common sense wins here if some thing doesn't works some people could have at least have tried to fix the problem own their own before complaining about it.

Correct spelling "Hysbak" the "kie" u used refers to a small elevator. lol

I presume "ij" replaces the "y" afrikaans uses.

Oh, so now I'm typical?? LOL
BTW what do you call a pavement/sidewalk in nederlands in afrikaans it's called a sypaaijtie and if you translate that directly back to English it's then called a sidepath lol

On topic
As for MP3 come on guys it's really that easy.

When it's supposed to work right in the first place? And the solution isn't that simple to me and I've been around here quite a bit.
How about if the model pack 3 just worked right?Wouldn't that save a lot of time and aggravation.
I don't know what it is about model pack 3...it's like it's cursed or something...

It's a simple problem the fix is also simple but requires the engine code to be modified.

Here are some of the possible causes.
The X importer for X10 could have been rewritten.
The FPS files could be read differently in X10.
Whole mesh system is different.

A simple fix to the problem would be to fix the MP3 pack to comply with the new settings and config of the engine to me it's a lot easier to do than trying to rewrite months of code to comply to just one specific MP pack.

And future packs wouldn't have that problem as long as it has centered mesh coordinates

Maybe because the light entity doesn't have a texture assigned to it or the texture is not in the correct format...Did you even read the post about the fixes...did you even bother to check the FPE files ??

AAHH

But there is the catch you want service however MP3 was never intended to work on X10 hell it was created even before X10 became a pipedream.

So one can't blame Lee or TGC for it not working correctly. However with that said TGC could have looked at compatibility and being a little less limiting on supporting meshes while coding X10.

TGC is partly to blame for the problems we have been having.

I however noticed the narrow minded approach Lee has implemented in both X9 and X10 not much has changed in either version.I bet my left knee cap that not much will change with the migration version.

Sadly it would seem Lee is stuck on a repetitive rinse cycle....
