I wasn't trying to say they were different...I was trying to explain that they were both medical facilities, and are too similar to one another to make two seperate model packs I can easily create a fusion of the two, and release the pack as an asylum.

Haha, thanks. It's coming along pretty steady I'm focusing primarily on the Asylum pack, just because I was already working on that pack for my game before I opened this thread, so I already had some good models to get it started.

And, as far as your skybox suggestion goes, I'm not yet entirely sure how to create skyboxes or how to set them up in FPS Creator. But, it's definately somthing I'll keep in consideration.

Quote: "but what happened to the bathroom pack? "

John, after doing some thinking, I decided it would be a better offer to combine the 'bathroom horror pack' with the asylum pack.
Any model ideas anyone has for items/scenery that would fit into an asylum, would be greatly appreciated, and help the development of the asylum pack.

And as usual, feel free to keep posting other ideas!

Sounds good man, yeah no doubt cause you said you were looking for "horror" models, and that sort of stuff (not only do we need badly around here), is perfect in the horror genre. Keep it up Kravenwolf!

And on the skybox note, its totally alright man. Was just curious.

Your Asylum Pack looks fantastic, I would need it for the Project I have in mind after I finished the one I`m on!

Well, I Would suggest some things like "Psychologic Research Machines"

You know, these sick things where they attach people to in the classy style of the 1950`s

Same, except for the lastest one.

Do you remember the first one where you're in the hospital and every step you took, the game transformed into the olden days?

Hello Wolf,

I was wondering if you would consider mutilated bodies as
a model? Maybe 5 various bodies with slightly different mutilations?
Also, if they were factory worker/ asylum guard, themed it would be
a nice addition!

I've been considering adding severed human appendeges and dead patients to the pack, but at this time, I'm not modeling any characters or human body parts due to the complexity of the models. But, that doesn't by any means come to say there won't be any in the pack once it's released. Keep checking back for updates

After playing the game Time Splitters: Future Perfect, I have another idea:

A ghost that is floating there. Doesn't move or attack, just floats.

@Fatalis: You can create these using an Overlay with the image of a ghost on it. (It rocks! )

Wolf, I had to LOL at the title for that, but I suggest you edit out the profanity. The mods likely won't be happeh.

I can't wait for the asylum. I'd pay for it.

*continues throwing out random ideas*

A spear sticking in the ground, covered in blood (used to impale people)

A guillotine (did I spell that right?)

Some Gallows (tie a rope around your neck and then you fall through the trap door, thus killing whoever is in the rope)

@Toasty: Whats wrong with it? It isn`t really serious, GTFO is a minigame with only a short story. Wanna play the demo?

Edit: About the tutorial: I can`t translate it right now, my webspace ist still down and I do not want to write a tutorial in english without images showing what I`m talikng about

@Kravenwolf: Did you play "Thief: Deadly Shadows?". There was an Asylum in it and it was totally great designed.

I wonder if you`re also interested in models to add little details to a level, not such big things like beds.

If so, you could model a few of these things: [attached]

I couldnt find a better image, but you know, these things they attached to people in Asylums. You always see em in Horrormovies.

@Kerrby: Heres a tut: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=150841&b=21

how about like broken blinds for windows. like some that are hanging at the bottom and some that are not broken. that would be really cool and scary to put on windows in like an abandoned building or house/hotal. would be really cool

Because GOH released segments with the same texture for free (nothing with copyrights) but I think Kraven's a bit upset kinds seems like GOH came in this thread saw the idea and took it.

Ohhh man...that's really disappointing. Kravenwolf your models
are great man, texture is really good quality and everything!
Don't quit man, I know GOH did what he did, but all he released
were segments, you're going the whole nine yards with an awesome
pack of models! You could have even sold your pack man!

I hope you change your mind

Great work though Kravenwolf!! Some of the best quality I've seen!!

What's wrong with people thinking everything has to be competetive? Just because GOH makes some asylum stuff doesn't mean you have to instantly think he's trying to be better than you. GOH can make his asylum pack, and you can too. Stop trying to be king of the hill, do your own thing and don't give a crap what everyone else does.

I have some ideas:

-voodoo dolls
-iron maidens (open and closed)
-mutated people (not attacking, but laying on a hospital bed, barely alive or dead)
-bottles of diseases (what mutated the people)
-cages of dead people
-webs
-mutated dogs

I got the idea of mutated people from I am Legend. You know the part where he's doing experiments on people he captured? Not attacking people, dying people.

Quote: "Because GOH released segments with the same texture for free"

Absolutely not true, the Textures that I've used are made by myself, they're using 2 Textures from CGTextures that I modified heavily (Scratches, "Two colored" and overall more grungy, different colours etc.).

If you compare Kravenwolf's screen to my textures you'll see that they look different.

Sorry again, but you shouldn't cancel just because some other people might do the same theme as you.

It's not meant to compete with your Product or something, I just saw some pictures of abandoned asylums and decided to make segments that are similiar to the ones of the picture.

So, keep it up... would be bad if the whole community doesn't get these just because of me.
