What are shaders and how do I apply them to my models?

In FPSC, they're called "effects". You can set what effect to be used on a model by going into it's properties. (Right-click the entity in the Editor to open that entity's Properties)

Shaders are graphical enhancements. They are normally used to apply "bumpiness", "reflections" and "glow" to a model. They are also capable of enhancing the entire screen (though this requires a Mod at this point in time)
