Fascinating.

There is the ultimate shader pack or whatever and I think that's free, I've never used shaders though.

Hello there

This is a real nice piece of free software.
It will save 3d models to directx X format and lots of stuff....

Not too sure how it works for shaders but i know it has some sort of capability in that direction.

Truespace 7.6

Nice one cheers for that steve. Have you used this software with DarkGDK?

Just wondered because from what Ive watched so far, thers a lot that it can do and I was just hoping that I could use pretty much all of its capabilities in with it

Just been trying truespace but when it came to saving as an X model, I had some small issues.

It displayed with textures in DX9 viewer. But when I put it into my 'game', it wont show textures.

Hi there, well glad you have found that software useful.
Personally i think its the best free piece of 3d software i know of. It also has as you likely have noticed some realy nice 3d models included and some nice animated stuff.

Ummmm regarding your being unable to get textures to show up.
Maybe try looking in the .x file with a text editor, assuming you are creating it as a text file. This should show up any external images that are used by that particular .x file.

I have the view set to model view, and also when saving the .x file i save it as a TS6 file.

You can of course save in usual file save manner...
I understand that truespace now belongs to Microsoft, but they are no longer supporting it .... :-(. SHAME

Hope this helps Regards :- Steve
