It is the sign of a great war between programmers. In ancient prophecy, a giant talking chicken name Yub Yub Commanda prophecized the coming of a great war between the two lords of technology. The time has come! Ready your weapon code, equip your armor code, and bring whatever other code you have that may come in handy! This is war! ATTTACK!

Uhh..whatever. Blitz has a bigger community. That is why it is a 9 I bet.

Who cares. We all know Assembly owns all

Blitz is a rather powerful and full-featured language (if lagging behind in technology). It's my personal opinion that DBP 0wnz it, but it does have a rather strong following.

DB have a bigger community, just not all of it can understand english =) There's DB in many languages and IIRC Blitz is only avalible in english.

I bet that lead is only stability.

Well I think its a compatiblity issue, if they're testing games made by people from the forums they probably had alot more B3D games run then DBP games. I know for myself 95% of the BLITZ games I dl run for me, are playable, and have a good frame rate, but for DBP games I dl it's more like 40-50%. Maybe Blitz just has more experience programmer, I don't know if it's any better, I have never used B3D. DBC games are usally fine, though?

So this is the second time that B3D and DBP have been reviewed head to head, and Blitz 3D were rated higher on both...

It will always come down to the reviewer and what he perceives as worthwhile features and what his background is... In the first case, B3D won on stability and syntax AFAIR, but I havent read the latest...

If you get a PC nerd to review them, DBP would score higher based on specs, but if you get a programmer to review them, B3D will score higher based on stability.

Its a good thing they didn't rate Blitz 3D on support, future support or current technologies.

I would be willing to bet that the version reviewed by computer shopper would have been an original retail version sent to them by FastTrak, which, without pathces, was amazingly buggy and caused all kinda problems with certain hardware setups. If this is true, a score of 8.5 is pretty lucky! Of course the new patched versoins of dbpro are excellent, but magazines usually review retail only

Bunnies aren't just cute like everybody supposes, They got them hoppy legs & twitchy little noses,
And what's with all the carrots? What do they need such good eyesight for anyway?

Ofcourse Blitz won, and should have.
I own both.
But in reality(even with the latest patches) Dbpro is still to slow
and buggy
No OWNZZ or RuleZZZ or other fan boy words.
I dont care which I use, as long is it works.

The term "fan boy" is just as annoying as any computer nerd term.

Well I got screenshots to prove not only does DBPro run faster in Patch 4.1, but also the screenshot looks better of the same 3D models.

If you will host them for me, I will send them up to you so we can do a one on one comparison and no the code was NOT optimised for either.

The Blitz 3D shot looks crappy and faded, like all the color was taken out of it.

I have patch 4.1 and yeah its faster than the other patches.
But My projects still Run faster in B3d.

I havent tried Patch 5 yet.

But Post the screenshots , I would like to see them...some demo's would be even better for Comparisions.
