Thanks to you guys, I've resolved several problems with CFX already. However, here I am back with more .

I've animated my object (a gun HUD object), and it works great in CFX. However, on export...not so great.

I've tried several different arrangements of export options with no change. Any help?

Blender gives an error when I try to import it back, if that's what you mean, but that's to be expected with Blender's .X compatibility the way it is

Strange, usually the default options are spot on, besides having to change the object scale. I wonder if that's different in your version, every chance that I'm using an old version of CFX (I'm old and afraid of change).

If you'd like, I could have a shot at getting it working in DBPro, feel free to email me the .CFX and I'll see if I can spot anything wrong.

finally someone who has had the same problem as me!

fortunately for you, however, i have found a few ways to solve it.

here is a checklist that i go through to make sure CharacterFX exports properly:

1) Make sure your model is triangulated. CFX hates untriangulated models.
2) Make sure EVERY SINGLE VERTEX is assigned to a bone. If you don't, what is shown in the screenshot can occur.
3) Try not using splines. Sometimes splines work and sometimes they don't. I don't know why

try these things and tell us how it goes

Thanks guys! My model is definitely triagulated - I can't even import it unless it is. I'm not using splines. I'm pretty sure every vert is assigned, but I tried reassigning some and it got a little less distorted. I'll tweak it a little more, if it still doesn't work I'll send it over, Van. Thanks!

Still seems to be acting up, I've sent it to you, Van.

Okay, I've fixed this problem thanks to VanB! DarkBASIC needs the model to have one connected skeleton - every joint has to be part of the same skeleton. I had different skeletons for each hand and the toaster.

Thanks!
