The reason is simple: who has ever used autocam on?
not that many people that there would be a rational reason to have autocam on as standard setting.

I do when writing little demos as it easily allows me to have a complete view of an object. It's really hard to work out something like that manually.

I say keep it!

you can make autocam on at the start of your programm :p

fact is that only demo and intro needs this commands, for every other sitiuation it is the death

I've never asked to take it out because I know from my own that it's very usefull for demos and so on

In my opinion it should stay as it is. Its very usefull when writing a very short program quickly and seeing the results. It would be a hassle to remember to put autocam on in a 20 line program. If you had 4000 lines of code though it would hardly seem the same hassle to put autocam off at the begining.

Diagnostics...
If 3D is used, instantly the background turns on.
But there is alot of text diagnostics as well.

In my view I would have wished that background was off,
but it is not really that, that important, as I struggle with it with text...

As you are most likely going to use 3d, as soon as you turn it on diagnostics are needed in a text variable format.

You need to keep it off if you are going to use [input] in your program...
Or as I have been using it, at the start.

It may also screw up some of the change screen settings.
