K so i made a gun in milkshake (ump) My first too btw Anyways so the gun is animated, fpsc rdy with sounds and everything....but with NO texture. I have the dang thing uv mapped and with an acceptable incomplete texture to go along with it(incomplete since you can still see uv map lines) So when i use the gun in-game i see white. If i texture through the gunspec still white. Texture through milkshake i see it but everything is in the wrong place. What am i doing wrong. i thought you could simple choose the texture you want to use, using a texture in the dds format name gun_D2 and than enter it into the gunspec. Ill attach a pic of the model and a the texture im using...watermarked ofcourse

What are you using to UV map it? You usually have to re-export the model to your file format after you UV map it for the model to read the UV map correctly.

K i tried it but still no luck, if i try to texture in milkshape it still comes out messed.....if i try to simply use a gun_D2.dds and enter that into the gunspec as well still no luck, the gun will appear white.

When you try to texture it in Milkshape you have to use the model that the UV mapper exported.

Also, you're texture is too large. try sizing it down to 1024x1024 and see if it textures then.

Try taking a look at a tutorial I just made about texturing. The tutorial is using Blender, but it should be somewhat transferable to Milkshape.
