Hi there, i hope this post abides by the rules of this board.

I have been working closely with Shaun Read and The Next to produce a 3D/2D Design board, we have been beta testing it for 2 days now and we have had very positive responses from Heltor, Alucard94 and others and i thought we could try here, i am really after some experienced users to try out the forum, and tell me what you think. We are yet to purchase the full domain off Jason until we are sure it will work, we have reviewed some members for their honest opinions.

The Creative Design Forum is a good place for 2D and 3D desigers to be.
the comunity is friendly, caring and always ready to help.

Matthew S (selbs)

Creative Design forums is a great place for wallpapers and some amazing 2D/3D assets for game designing.
It has plenty of great members who are all very supportive of any projects but also are not afraid to give you some really good CC.

I love the layout of it, its very clear and easy to use and it makes great use of BBCode to personalise your posts. The registration process is painless and your up and running in no time

I hope that this is ok and dos not offend or annoy anyone, hope to see some good responses, Thanks again

Sounds like a nice place!

I few suggestions:

I think you have your boards a bit too sub divided. A general chat, a 3D general discussion and a 3D general discussion is a bit much. Any thread, be it discussion or question, can fit into one of your existing 2D or 3D chat boards.

Web Design is two words. So is Help Desk. I also feel you are stretching the forum a bit thin with adding web design in there. Forums that don't fit a 'nitch' are quickly over looked. Start by attracting a core group of people, then maybe think about branching out to Web Design.

You should think about including a board for Mods (Unreal, CryEngine, Quake ect.) If you have the ability on that forum to allow the user to insert a prefix into their thread title, you can have them select the engine, for example UT3 and then type their thread title. That way it's organized within the board. If you don't have this, I wouldn't create a separate board for each. Just make it a standard for posting.

There are more things to talk about with game design than Showcase and WIP. Have a board about Game Design itself. A very important topic.

Think about adding a Concept Art board in Game Design or 2D. This is a very important subject within the industry.

That "E" on the logo is really bothering me though... Why is it so thick? It would probably just look better being the same thickness as the others, also the "Community forum" should probably ditch the drop shadow, it looks very "cookie cutter" if you know what I mean.
