Its always annoyed me the limited number of screenshots provided for model packs. I'd really like to see those Roman soldiers.

Looks great but... Isn't that second screenshot the Arc de Triomphe (Probably spelled that wrong) in Paris, France?

Either way, this is awesome.

The Romans created that style of arch, Crusader2, although I could be wrong(been a loong time since I've read up on Roman culture).

I'm pretty sure the Romans developed the modern day arch and the uses we think of today. But that is very close to the Arc de Triomphe. I took French for a year and the teacher spent a lot of time having us memorize different French structures, and that looks pretty dang close. Either way, it looks great. Much props to the author.

This pack is outstanding and I can see this being used in maybe ww2 game set in italy.

Wikipedia is your friend:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arc_de_Triomphe

"Its design was inspired by the Roman Arch of Titus."

Looks very nice - especially for use with a TR style adventure.

Most segment packs dont really care about the outside, this pack seems to be different

Don't be so sure.

lol

Yeah, yeah, and Columbus discovered America, even though there were people already here.
Indians? He didn't even know where he was.
Columbus was lost bafoon, not a discoverer.

There are Kilns in Africa that used arches long before the Romans ever built one.
Most of Rome's technological advances were 'borrowed' from the peoples they conquered.
History seems to always be influenced by those in charge, so it's difficult to know the truth about things so long ago.
As world powers attain dominance form their victories, history is re-written to suit those telling the story or those who want their stories told.

Anyway, nice detail on your texturing, especially on particular buildings.

I was sold on the theme before I ever saw your great images and videos.

Thanks Steve & TGC

I wasn't saying you were wrong.
Just trying to point out that nobody knows for sure the origin of the arch.
Your guess is as good as mine, so it's all good.

Back to the Pack though, I forgot to say one thing to TGC and Steve...

"We, who are about to die, salute you!"

P.S.
If you need an idea for another project, then a character pack of traditional coliseum gladiators and various roman citizens would be a nice compliment to this pack.

This pack seems to have a lot of value to it (as is normally the case with buying packs.) An additional pack with Roman town's people will be needed or else Rome will look strangely empty, something like Myst, apart from the 5 soldiers given. They will need to look the part with Togas and all.

Regarding the characters I think it should be enforced to write not only the number of charcters/ but also of character modelsin a model pack description.

If I buy this pack I would hope for different models not a single soldier with different textures
