I'm just trying out the 2d in DBP.

I don't know if I attached the file and screen shot right.

Yeah, looks like I did it right.

Anyway, I think the "HOW TO PLAY" option in the Main Menu explains the game. It also includes some 'cheat' codes. Let me know if you find any bugs or suggestions.

The opening almost sent me into an epileptic seizure . Other than that, it's a very nice little game! The little particles in the back, how the bricks bounce when you hit them, and having paddles on the top and bottom were nice touches.

The graphics were fairly catchy overall. My only complaint is that everything seemed to move too fast. You should consider dropping the sync rate a bit or just slowing down both the paddle and the ball (the paddle especially).

Not bad!

There are only two things that could be improved : The menu is all flashy and bright, and it is hard to see where the text is, and the ball always bounces around at a 45° angle.

Otherwise this game is awesome!

I really like the graphics, except for the text, which should probably be a little less animated and a little more readable. Also The ball sometimes bounced off the paddle at the wrong angle.

Ok, I changed the text and slowed it down a bit. This is a game me and a friend wrote in C++ in a rom for GBA about seven years ago. I wanted to see how it looked in DBP:

Idunno. As far as the angles, we kept them at 45 degrees to add some predictability. The arrows underneath the paddles show which direction the ball will bounce. Basically, the ball bounces the opposite direction the paddle is moving. This way when you capture the ball on a paddle you can figure out exactly where its going when released. You can also use the '<' and '>' to move the ball on the paddle. We figured just by adding two and four sides along with solid bricks that can't be destroyed it was already hard enough.

We figured rather then just base the game play on clearing all the bricks, the object it to clear them as fast as you can while letting the ball miss the paddle the least amount of times.

I have an idea that when you capture the ball you can change the angle of release. Maybe have a line comming from the ball to show the release angle.
