Make sure you are in admin mode in vista before trying to install fpsc.

That's probably your problem. The error say's "Access denied".

I am on as admin....Only user for the PC and UAC is also disabled.
I search the "access denied" error message and it was cause the installer was still running. I had to kill it in task manager.

When I run it again after that the installer starts then disappears and nothing else happens. CPU usage is still up cause it is tyring to install or something but it never happens. I have to go into task manager and kill the IKernel.exe *32 process.

I let it sit for about 10 minutes and nothing ever came up.

Right click and tell it to "run as admin" not just be in administrator mode. I know sounds dumb but when i had vista, I had to do that even thoe i was on the admin account. btw i burned the vista cd and threw it in a lake!! money well spent hahaha

Dunno what it was but after the reboot the first things I did was kill automatic updates and disabled UAC along with changed the dep setting and it installed this time. I dont know if I had something messed up with dep or if it was service pack 2 messing with it.

I will run windows update and grab all the updates and do a reinstall of FPSC to see if it was service pack 2 or not.

Stupid Vista.
