Hi everyone,

For those of you who don't know what Polycount is, it's a professional game art community that has tons of people who are currently in the game industry frequenting the forums.

Polycount has just started a Bi-Monthly workshop showcasing the workflows of different artists with different models. If you are serious about learning how to model, you will want to check it out: http://boards.polycount.net/forumdisplay.php?f=59

I am not recommending that all of you that frequent TGC join Polycount. Polycount, as I said, is a professional community. They do not tolerate little kids or people who can't act their age. Having said that, it would be good to just join and observe if you can't join and trust yourself to speak.

Yeah, I've just been watching thus far, but after this week I think I'm going to follow along with what they are doing. It's good stuff. As you know, there's dozens of ways to get any one thing done in 3D. It's really interesting to see the workflow of other artists and compare it to yours.

I joined polycount, posted a model sample pick of a low poly crate I made, and it's like I'm not allowed or pending,.. been pending for 32 hours so far. that seems like a long wait to have a post approved.

Oh well, I'll keep checking and see,.. mayby my post will get seen by christmas LoL

Cheers.

P.S. it does seem like a great community.

David, I'll look into it. That's odd. They have a very active IRC community too. It's a bit R rated sometimes though.
