Hey everyone,

So after convincing myself that I absolutely cannot model for such a long time I decided to give Truespace an honest shot and go through the video tutorial. After that, I got a quick concept and this is what I came up with.

C & C would be appreciated

Also, any suggestions on what to texture it with? I mean can I just use Truespace? I've also heard something about zBrush being good for that, is that true? Any suggestions would be great.

Cheers

zbrush is rather expensive though.

the plane is pretty good. the wheel shouldn't have a hole and the front should have a curve to it (to a nose)(at least it would depend on the type of plane your doing.

It's not bad, good job

The wings are too hi-poly for the detail that they have. Try removing some of the subdivision on the lower bit so that it's more like the upper wings. The same could be said about the propeller.

One thing you might want to consider is that everything doesn't need to be connected as one mesh, you could just have the bars that connect the two wings as simply boxes with no attachment to the mesh of the wings themselves, just having it overlap a little bit. Generally helps UV'ing the things later on as well and saves some polygons. Looks pretty clean otherwise.
