sorry for making another thread about this but its weird
An angry moron noob has been constantly sending me weird hate mail. I have got 3 new emails from him and this time he seems to be angry with every one on the forum. Here is the first email. I do not have th slightset clue wat he is babbling about.

i did make that clear in the other thread

but still, with that information, you can get him kicked from using the internet through that isp, and maybe other companies that are buddies with the isp he uses. quite alot of isp's have these relationships going on with other isp's, where if he was blocked from one, they'd tell others and then in turn they'd block him from signing up with them.

I would report him to his ISP and enclose all emails. He is most likely a immature 12 yo with a complex, so his mum or dad will get the warning, or lose the connection, meaning that little 'darkbasicfps' will have to stand 'trial' with his mum as the presiding judge pretty quick.

Point taken . . . just thought I'd mention the other academic possiblities.

The downer is, if you gripe to an ISP, and he is running through a proxy, you could cut off a user who doesn't even realize anything is going on.

I'd say its fair to ask the ISP in a cordial manner to please investigate, and if the user at that IP is at fault, to terminate service per the TOS. It doesn't hurt to provide the ISP with the page with their TOS, so they you are well-informed.

Most of the biggies, like AOL, MSN, and so forth, are very good about these things once they get to direct e-mails with direct threats.

anyway, at least we know he/she visits these forums. we also know that all visits to these forums are logged, and among the information logged is an ip.

if you wanted to nail this dickhead, then you could politely ask a member of the db team to cross reference the ip found in your email with the ip log for this forum. when they find a match we will know for sure that the ip in the email is real. if they have an account on the db forum, then we should also be able to find out the username.

although i obviously dont know the inner workings of this forum (since its custom made ), i don't know how the logging system logs. i do know that they log ip's though.
