Pentiums were a sort of hybrid since MMX was introduced - I think (instruction set is CISC but the internals are somewhat RISC).

I refer to it as CISC (mainly because of the many stupid instructions in the processor), although Raven would disagree.

They need to go totally RISC really (remove all unneeded instructions to start with) and re-vamp the internals.

I don't see why so many PC users are against macs. I have a 2nd hand mac G4 that I use 4 my homework, and even though the processor is about half as powerful than my PC, and my PC has about five times the amount of memory, my mac still loads in about half the time and hardly ever crashes.

I read sumwhere that they hav developed a version of direct X 4 mac, but are only releasing it 2 developers. http://www.insidemacgames.com/news/story.php?ArticleID=5250

PC's don't suck,
Windows sucks.

Its such a whore, it hogs everything you have. Just imagine running the PS2 (BI?)OS on your PC, i bet it could handle a game that *looked* like real life (well, if someone could create a game that looked like real life).

I hate windows, i don't see how it became the most popular OS, i find it disgusting lol. Especially XP, it treats my like a n00b, takes ages to get rid of all these settings (what's with the weired search dog?).

Anyway, as i said, if it wasnt for dbp, i woulda upgraded to redhat by now...
