This is a great link for searching webhosts.

Personally, I'm thinking about going with Hercules Hoster, but I wanna finish my website first.

$10 a year? You might as well go with .tk, but if you want a professional host, go with someone like hercules hoster, or even TGC's option if you just need filehosting. (I assume you want a full blown webpage though.)
http://www.thegamecreators.com/?f=file_hosting

http://www.herculeshosting.com/plan.aspFor $95.95 a year, with a free domain name, and free setup, its a great deal.(Unlimited space, traffic, php, custom error pages, php, video/audio streaming, unlimited e-mail,live stats, merchant account, and more)

If you only want a webhost for $10, you might as well just use a free one. You'll wish you'd have payed more, for a higher quality site.

Take my advice though, don't pay for a webhost until you really have something to show. That's the mistake I almost made.

you might want to take a look at http://www.biggerbyte.com too, although you'll have to pay seperately for your domain (.com's are about $10 a year using regfly).

$10 is cheap isn't it

Very, very, very. Most commerical hosts that companies use can charge up to £500 a year.

ANd if you're planning to publish games then you may not be able to attract any publishers with a .tk domain I know it's the game that counts but you need a professional image.

i agree, .tk's are very naff.

but since .com's are very cheap, (~£8/year), and .co.uk's even cheaper (~£3/year), you may want to go for the "professional" look.

Why buy a temporary site?

(I'm gonna quote this every post I make in this thread if I have too.)
