Hi, I'm fairly new to these kind of programs and was never told the real difference between fpsc and fpsc x10. I realize x10 uses directx 10. Is there any other difference. Thanks.

As you stated with the DirectX reference above, X10 is for Vista and above (also works with Windows 7) while FPSC (X9) is for Windows 2000 and above. This is the major difference.

Minor differences would be X10's built-in features such as water, bloom, allies, entity instancing, etc.

Other than the better graphics of FPSC X10 and the requirement of Vista or better FPSC X10 also has better AI for enemies and it allows you to have allies with you.

I do think the demands for X10 are too high for most people and I mostly use X9 for that reason.
