The DarkNoobs Dbpro team derived from the DarkNoobs team in the DBC threads. We are essentially the same as we focus on learning and pretty much follows the same guidelines. The only difference is we code using DBPro instead.

This is a remake of 1945. Controls are "1" Shoot, "2" Bomb and arrowkeys to move.

Neat little game!

Pros:
-Great graphics! The background is especially well done, professional looking
-It's impressive to see a team actually work together to complete a game!

Cons:
-Way too hard, I never even got the the boss in the screenshot
-Weird choice of controls

Bugs:
-The explosions were all over the screen like they were positioned randomly, never over the proper ship

Nice. I got 3820, but will have another go.

Explosions aren't like in the screenies. All stretched out horizontally.

Also, many shooters- especially jap ones, use z,x for fire buttons. More symmetric with where the hands are. Maybe avoids keyboard clash too.

Yay i won! Score 4250. 2 lives and 2 bombs remaining. Boss fight was extremely short though!

Game looks and sounds great, and is fun to play. I think you are no longer noobs.

I liked it. It kind of invoked an Atari520 vibe in that it was a little too hard for my taste. I kind of admit to getting stressed out an quitting, but really it was alot of fun!

I want robotic legs.

Ohh my, we didn't even bother to playtest the game after finnishing, the boss health was still set with the testing value. The zip is updated.

I'm not sure what's wrong with that, it seems to work fine on my comp.

Also thanks for playing and giving feedbacks

I suspect it's a DBP version problem. You could upload a compiled .exe version.

Boss takes longer now. Completed first time. 6090 points. 3 bombs left. 5 lives. Full health. Basically what i'm saying is that you could do with making it a little bit harder, but only a little bit. It wasn't a breeze- i had to stay on my toes and felt fully involved. The difficulty level and sense of satisfaction and involvement is pretty excellent really.

I agree, I was looking forward to playing but my unused old version of DBP wouldn't work with it

If you see a thread of mine in GDT, please don't expect it to go anywhere.

Great game, guys!

Very complete feeling to it!

I finished the game in my first play-through, it was great fun!
One thing that annoyed me, though, was the "semi-invincibility" didn't last very long after you died, so I found myself losing a lot of health before I could even move out of the way.

All-in-all, congratulations!!! It was very entertaining!

I attached a pic of my score

The one and only,
