I dont know exactly where to put this on this site, but since im mainly using darkgdk and want to integrate windowsapi with it i'm geussing this is my best bet.

But my main question is:
im looking at a windows api tutorial from : http://www.winprog.org/tutorial/

and in one of the lessons it tells me to get a definition help file or sumthing along that line. i searched google for "WindowsAPI help files" with no luck, even the first result was another guy asking this question... I really liked learning that there was help file for darkgdk which helped me out alot, and i really need this help file for windows api...

Thanks to anyone that helpes me!

and if anyone is already experienced with this, i could really use some advice

Actually through tedious work on looking through things i found one! ill attach it so maybe it will help someone find it easier in the future.

Note: It is in a .hlp file, and according to it, if you have an os newer than xp, it doesnt include a file that you need to use to read .hlp. (file found here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=6EBCFAD9-D3F5-4365-8070-334CD175D4BB&displaylang=en)

lol yeah, TheForger's tutorial in the attachment in my above post is not related to DarkGDK, just basic Win32API programming, Sephnroth's tut is the DarkGDK one. It must be a small world after all, the tut on that sight in your above post is the same as the one included in my attachment in Portable Doc Format.

About PDF's, what is the reason you hate them ? (just curiuos, the portable doc format is one of the most widely used online)

But, if you really dont want to view a PDF(for whatever reason) there are a number of free conversion utilities you can download and run your PDFs through to change them in Word DOCs or Rich Text or just Plain unformatted Text if you really wanted to.

A google search for terms like "free PDF to DOC converter" (or similar) should get you somewhere useful. (i know there are a number of converters out there, as my mobile, a nokia n95 8gig, has a really hopeless PDF viewer, but a really nice DOC viewer lol, so I end up converting alot of my PDFs to DOCs and carrying them around on my mobile. - carrying a stack of novels in a fone is alot easier than lugging around a stack of books lol)

Here are 3 links to various FREE document converters :

OmniFormat document converter(handles most img/doc formats):
http://www.omniformat.com/download.html

Freeware PDF to DOC converter with images/layout intact:

Text Mining Tool (for plain text extraction from PDF's) :

Good Luck
