i knw that it is not something big or a huge discoery but anyway i believe that many people dont know it so if you want your dynamic objects to have shadows go to the setup.ini and set dynamic shadows to 1 i know that this is very simpe but i save many time from the noobs that will searche the forum to find the way to do this...
realgameview=0
dynamiclighting=1
dynamicshadows=1
useeffects=1
useeffectsonguns=1
useeffectsonscene=1
useeffectsonentities=1
dividetexturesize=0

Hey,

Does this actually work?

To my knowings that is a flag in setup.ini that doesnt work. It was a plan to add, but never did. I can be wrong. If you ARE right, that is nice to here.

It works, but the shadows aren't very good quality. On top of that, dynamic shadows KILL your framerates. I've turned these on WITH Blue Mod, and my frames dropped to around 10

i dont know why 1.04 is the only version that work best for me...i have trubles with the other ones like with 1.07 i loose the main scripts when i install or if i dont loose them they dont work.....not to mention the 1.09 antill 1.15 dont work at all cause everything is b/w and test game dont work and nothing works....so i use 1.04

Yeah your test game and stuff is not working because:

a)You are a pirate and you have pirated FPS Creator
b)Did not enter the serial correctly in userdetails.ini

As I mentioned before, even though dynamic shadows are possible, they destroy your framerate, so much to the point they are ultimately useless for a game (at this time anyway). Here's a video I uploaded to show a small level in FPSC using dynamic shadows.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUjQPFwLpfc&feature=channel_page

The video shows a published one-level room, with 4 dynamic entities casting shadows by one dynamic light. The highest framerate I was able to acheive in this game using Project Blue V1.15 was 30 FPS(this was tested WITHOUT running FRAPS). Testing the same room without dynamic shadows enabled, and my frames reached 112 uncapped.
