I just got a great idea that lee can do to make an even better tool than the basic segment version of this editor;

Have something like 3D world studio as the world editor
Have more complex efficient lighting techniques
Have more inteligent ai system such as
Activity waypoints to begin a scripted sentence
Ways to make enemys speak tacticaly to other team mates.
Depleteable ammunition on npcs
Frag grenades as well as assault rifles
Ability to do melee atacks.

More efficient and realistic weapon system
Ironsights
Maximum ammunition
Different ammo types
melee capability
Grenade launcher capability

Vehicle system

3d sound
reverberations
echos
pitch change

Hundreds of posibilitys that can be fitted into this, it would take a long time but it should be worth the effort in the end, just the same drag and drop system with entities but able to draw your environment with brushes. This will probably up the cost of the package but i would definetly buy it.


So its basicaly combining fpsc x10 with 3d world studio and a good game engine features Eg cod 4, hl2, far cry 2.

So who else thinks this is a good idea?

Dude, if you had been following the forums for some time you would know that most of the stuff you mention already can be done with FPSC X9 + mods and the fact that no new features are planned for the official FPSC versions at the moment. A migration version (blending X9 and X10 together) has been announced some time ago by The Game Creators but so far no news has been released.

Don't expect to see new official features for at least a year or so.

well, its so much better using a 3d SVG styled editing windows which stops the limit of basic cube segments. Also the portal system isnt as efficient as it is in hl2 or unreal 3 which unreal 3 maps have something like 25 000 brushes per map. Also a maximum ammunition variable should have been included from day 1 of fpsc. Which is a very simple chunk of code.

Those 3 are possible out of the box (and maybe more, i donĀ“t know). A lot of the others you mentioned are already implemented in some of the X9 mods, including Ironsights, vehicles, different ammo types, more realistic lighting, etc.

I was thinking even bigger. Why not integrate the ease-of-use tools into Leadwerks 2.0 game engine! That be great, lol

I don't think FPSC X10 and Leadwerks 2.0 are inter compatible, they most definitely are written in different languages. (C++, C#, VB, etc.). Anyway all that would achieve is a huge limitation on what you could do with Leadwerks. You'd only be able to use FPS creator X10 resources, that is one severe limitation.
