I don't quite understand what you're asking here, are you looking for a normal map generator of sorts or a 3D modeling software which supports normal maps or something? I'm confused.

Blender and Truespace are the only free modelling programs I know of that support normal maps, sorry lad.

Truespace supports and can create normal maps...maybe you should elaborate on why you 'hate' truespace.

Blender and TS are by far your best bet when it comes to free modeling software, so those are pretty much your only choices.

What happens when you are using said programs and they lock up your computer? What programs do you have running in the background? Also what are your specs? Maybe if we can discover your problem, you'll be able to use TS and/or Blender without trouble.

i has gots a virus. if i click on any link in google it just goes to some random sites i have antivirus software but it won't update so it refuses to check for viruses (or so it seems) but i don't want to reinstall windows because i have to much stuff that took to long to do (games, 3d models (not textured), pics (i done a drawing of a fox boy and that is probably the main thing i can't lose)).

Well you can hardly blame TS and Blender for that . Back up all your essential stuff onto an external hard drive or CDs and then reinstall everything, I guess.

Indeed, back everything up and reformat right away, the difference will be huge.

Aye, how could you live with that?? If you have the money I'd go out and get an external HD and copy everything you want to keep over. Then reformat and reinstall windows.
